Matt Cappy has been the Board Governor since 2003, The Recording Academy, Philadelphia Chapter. Very good friend of mine and an incredible trumpet player/musician who has recording credits with Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Wyclef Jean, Floetry, Jaheim, Faith Evans and much more. Performed with many artists such as Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Smokey Robinson, Maxwell, The Roots, Kirk Franklin, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Bilal, Mos Def, Common, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu.
